F. AHEE Obituary
AHEE, F. Donald Jr. passed away peacefully on January 25, 2018, in Tucson, AZ, due to pneumonia and surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on June 26, 1958, to Dr. Donald Ahee and June Hart Ahee, he was a 2nd generation Tucsonan. He attended Tucson schools and graduated from Sabino High School. He enrolled at the University of Arizona and was member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He joined Coldwell Banker Real Estate (now CBRE) as a retail sales and leasing specialist in 1982. As his career matured he moved into portfolio disposition working with various financial institutions under the Resolution Trust Corporation. In 1998, Don was promoted to Operations Manager in the Tucson office directing IT, market research and producer support operations. At the time of his death he was the Branch Manager and Designated Broker for CBRE in Tucson. In 1984 Don, while riding his dirt bike in Sabino Creek, suffered a life changing accident which left him a quadriplegic for the rest of his life. Even though Don was paralyzed he continued his work with CBRE. With CBRE's generous medical benefits and support he was able to live a very productive life and provide for his own livelihood. It was during these last 33 years that Don became a living hero and inspiration to many of his fellow workers, friends and acquaintances. Through his determination to live the best life he could, he became an expert with computer and modern communications technologies. Occasionally, he would even "drive himself" to work in his electric wheel chair, a distance of 3.8 mile, weather permitting. A lifelong gun owner and enthusiast he adapted a rifle to accommodate his condition and enjoyed target shooting. He NEVER COMPLAINED or made excuses. He just showed up and met each day's challenges with a positive attitude. Don was predeceased by his father, Donald, and is survived by his mother, June Bayne; his sister, Lisa Conwell, both of Dallas, Texas, and nephews, Chris and Alex Conwell. The family wishes to thank the CBRE management and all of Don's fellow associates for their support and loyalty and especially Edith Valencia and Robin Lamont for their loving and devoted care. A celebration of Don's incredible life will be held at a future date. The family suggests donations in Don's memory be sent to Craig Hospital Foundation, 3425 S. Clarkson St. Englewood, CO 80113 in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME.
