Gale Bell was an outstanding biology teacher who encouraged all of his students to, at the very least, appreciate science and its role in our everyday lives. He made learning fun. He was an even better coach. I enjoyed interacting with him as writer for the Catalina High school paper and often wish I had taken him up on an offer to try out for the cross-country team. He touched countless lives and made the world a better place. RIP.

Mr.Bell was my track and cross country coach at THS in the mid 1950's and I'll always remember those days and his coaching. I especially recall the long yellow school bus rides to Phoenix and Yuma, often without air conditioning. He was a real leader.

I was a teacher and Mr. Bell was an assistant principal at Carson Middle School. He was a role model for me. Mr. Bell cared about the students and staff members alike. He was fair and just and always professional, everything an educator should be. I also know he cared deeply about his family. He was proud of his children and celebrated the time he spent with them and their families. Gale Bell was one of the finest human beings I ever met, and I felt privileged to have worked with him.

Mr. Bell was a good man. Very fair. He could have kicked me out of school for my dumb pranks but didn’t. He helped many atCatalina HS.
