Hello, was so sorry to hear of Georges passing, and also that Ellen had passed in 1993. George and Ellen were mine and my sisters Godparents in 1958 and friends of my parents James and Ellen Mackey. We lived on Rosemont Blvd. I was just thinking about you all the other day and thought I'd look you up and found this obituary page. Anyway, just wanted to leave my condolences. I enjoyed looking at all your photos of George, he looks like he was a lovely man and lots of fun. Hope you are all well. Best wishes, Jane x

I would like to thank everyone for myself and my family for all the wonderful sentiments sent concerning the passing of my Dad.

My sincere condolences to George's family. We lived on Lee Street by George and Ellen in the 50's. They had the first TV and would invite us to come over to watch wresting. George, Ellen, and my Mom and Dad remained friends. When my younger brother passed away unexpectedly about 10 years ago, George came to his services. He had been keeping in touch with my late mother, which she enjoyed very much. She always talked about his Christmas decorations. Since our retun to Tucson upon retirement, we had exchanged cards with George. I will miss hearing from him but will remember our fun times. Keeping you all in my prayers. Marsha (Yates) Banta

My condolences to your family. I know your father/grandfather/great-grandfather was very special to all of you and you will miss him greatly. May God be close and comfort you during this time.

My sympathies to the family. And to Virginia, take care of yourself. It was a pleasure caring for George, and we would have many a long conversation about life in general.
I enjoyed listening to his stories, experiences and about his Christmas decorations.
