In Loving Memory of Dr. Harry Daniel Schlosser.

Dr. Harry Daniel Schlosser passed away in his sleep in Tucson on November 26, surrounded by his family. Harry was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 20, 1943. He attended Cass Technical High School, majoring in chemistry, and continued his studies at Wayne State University for pre-med, where he met the love of his life, Patricia. Their journey together began with marriage on May 27, 1967, and blossomed over 58 wonderful years.

Harry's dedication to medicine led him to the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital. After completing his residency, he served two years of active duty at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, and continued his commitment to the Air Force Reserve for 30 years, earning the Meritorious Service Award. He and Patricia opened Southern Arizona Ophthalmology where he cared for patients since 1984.

A compassionate doctor and beloved family man, Harry and Patricia raised three children: David (spouse: Angela), Michael (spouse: Kerri Cavanaugh), and Suzanne Teeple (spouse: Ryan). They were blessed with eight grandchildren: Madeline, Nathan, Jay, Boston, Max, Audrey, Charles, and Henry.

Outside of his professional life, Harry's adventurous spirit and curiosity led him to travel to new places, including to all 7 continents – visiting Antarctica twice. He was always eager to explore and learn.

Among the many joys in Harry's life was his cherished dog, Kodak, who brought comfort and happiness to Harry and the entire family.

Harry was an avid tennis player, competing at Centre Court, The Racquet Club, and Skyline Country Club, where he captained teams and led them to nationals, finishing second. He also enjoyed playing golf with family and friends, working out, and was a passionate skier, teaching family and friends the joys of the slopes. Harry was an avid University of Arizona sports fan and supporter for over 40 years.

Harry's legacy is one of kindness, adventure, and dedication - to his family, his patients, and his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
