Herbert Rambow Obituary

Herbert Christoph Rambow, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona, on June 6, 2024. Born on February 10, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frieda

Wiedemann and Christoph Rambow, Herbert was a resident of Tucson for over 46 years.

During the Korean War, Herbert served his Country in the United States Air Force. He obtained both a bachelor's degree and a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Although he held various jobs during his youth, he was employed for over 30 years by International Business Machines as a programmer, salesman; and system analyst.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Joan Gutberlet to whom he was married for over 54 years; his eldest son Mark (Marsha) Rambow, Mahomet, Illinois; and a stepson, Michael D. Hunt.

He is survived by his second wife, Lois. L .Hunt, Tucson, Arizona, to whom he was married for nearly 15 years; his children Carolyn (James) Groendyke, Tucson, Arizona; John C, (Dana, deceased) Rambow, Tucson, Arizona; Lisa (Brian) Nelson, Fort Collins, Colorado; and Janet (Mark) McCollom, Tucson, Arizona; his stepchildren Barbara Zagona, Tucson, Arizona; Gayle (Dawn) Hunt, Tucson, Arizona; Charles D. Hunt, Tucson, Arizona; and Leslie (Duane) Davis, Greenville, Kentucky; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 o'clock am, at The Fountain of Life Lutheran Church located at 710 S. Kolb Road, Tucson, Arizona 85710.
