Isidor Rojas Obituary

Isidor "Isy" or "Chilo" Nabor Rojas Born in Morenci on April 4, 1940, died peacefully in his sleep after a long illness on April 18, 2006. He was a barber for 46 years and owner of Freedom Park Barbershop. Isy was known for doing things in his own time and all his loyal customers would wait patiently for him to open the shop so they could get a haircut. He loved to sing and play the guitar. Preceded in death by parents, Dolores and Herminia Rojas; brother, Isaac Esparza and grandson, Isidro Jose Rojas. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jill Rojas; children, Beverly (Jeff), Evelyn (Ryan), Sandy, Melissa, Francisco, Bonnie, Samantha, Isidor, Rachel, Celeste, Desirae, Jose, 34 grandchildren, brothers, sisters, other family members and close friends. A special thanks to his in-laws, Otto and Rita Brandenburg who also survive him. His sense of humor, love of life and affectionate ways will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. "Right on Cacheton". Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2006 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. Funeral mass 9:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2006 at St. John Catholic Church, burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

Jill and kids,

I was on the internet and saw the obit I never had the chance to really say thank you for looking out my Mom and Dad (Robert and Josie), my kids (Sven and Nick) when they were little, I remember when I would come home on leave the first thing I would do was go to the Barbrshop to get a haircut from Isy. When I was in high scool, I would look at his silver frame around his barbers license and say to myself how proud I was to be getting a haircut from him. May God Bless you and your family

Jill: I started getting my haircut at Isy's shop on Broadway and Columbus in the early 60's and kept going to him until I moved to Pinetop in 2000. He was a special guy and I was so sorry to hear about his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Bud Miltenberger, Pinetop,Az.

Jill, Jose and Desire', I am so sorry to hear of Isy's passing. Though I only knew him a short time, he was delightful to be around, and Joe and Dan always loved being around you, Isy and the kids.
