Isobel Agnes Barnhill

1928 - 2026

Isobel Agnes Barnhill, age 97, died peacefully on January 9 in Tucson, AZ. She was born in Bannockburn, Scotland on March 9, 1928 and was predeceased by parents Harry Forsyth Landsborough and Annie Fraser McKinnon, brothers William and Harry, husband David Barnhill, and ex-husband Norman Fritz. Isobel was educated at the Royal Scottish Academy in Glasgow and taught piano and accordion for 70 years. She immigrated to Wichita, KS in 1951 and became a US citizen in 1957. Isobel will be remembered for her music, warm smile, generous and kind nature, knitting, and her love of word games, especially Scrabble. Survived by daughters Scharla and Ronwyn (Ed) Fritz, stepchildren David (Peggy), Ron (Marylou), and Ruthann Barnhill, and seven grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on March 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1200 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ.
