James H. SAHLER

SAHLER, James H. passed away on November 4, 2017. He grew up on his family farm in Accord, New York. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and upon graduation in 1953, was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the United States Air Force. He retired from the USAF after serving 22 years as a pilot then spent his later years in real estate and was active in Toastmasters. He died peacefully at home after complications from pneumonia. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane Sahler and their daughters, Christy Sahler, Erica Sahler and Duska Pearson; son-in-law, Scott Pearson and granddaughters, Tahler Bandarra, Annika, Gretchen, and Ingrid Pearson. The Celebration of Life Service will take place at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road, Tucson, AZ, on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the United States Naval Academy Women for Navy Athletics Fund- in honor of James Sahler.
