Jenny Mejias Obituary

Jenny Pintor Mejias Loving mother, sister, aunt and nina entered into her eternal rest on May 22, 2012 spending her final days at her Tucson home surrounded by family. Jenny is survived by her son, Dr. Robert J. Mejias, Clinical Professor of Information Systems at Arizona State University; sister, Ruth Pintor Nieto (Edward) of National City, CA; brothers, Venturo C. Pintor, Phil C. Pintor (Claudine) of Shreveport, LA; nieces, Emma Myers Lewis, Sandy Myers Celaya (Sigberto), Stella Myers Rosas (Manny) and Donna Pintor Stoma and Sherri Pintor Fletcher of Bossier City, LA; nephews, Carlos P. Myers, Edward Pintor Nieto (Nancy) of National City, CA and Jenny's caregiver Carmelita as well as her faithful canine companion, "Willy". Jenny is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Pesqueira Mejias; sister, Elisa Pintor Myers; brother, Frank C. Pintor; mother, Manuela Cuen Pintor and father, Geronimo Franco Pintor. Jenny had an entrepreneurial spirit and was a beauty salon and restaurant owner before she returned to school and received her BA-Ed from the University of Arizona and became an elementary teacher for TUSD. She spent the last 17 years devoted to her students at inner-city schools. Jenny will be remembered and deeply missed for her kindness, generosity and dedication to her family, particularly her nephews, nieces and school children. She was also an advocate for rescuing stray animals which would often become her pets. BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL (Downtown Chapel) 236 S. Scott Ave. will hold Visitation on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 starting at 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary recited starting at 9:30 a.m. Mass will also be celebrated on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral Church, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery on Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jenny P. Mejias' name to Tucson Humane Society or Tucson Casa de Los Ninos.

My condolences to Jenny's family. Jenny was a beautiful friend and lady. She was so pure and honest in heart in everything that she did. I remember her total faith in God. She is surely happy now in heaven. Sincerely, Delia Perez

Jenny was a beautiful, generous, sweet lady! I taught with her at Lynn Urquides Elementary and we had alot of good times together. She made me laugh alot! So very sorry to hear of her passing. I will miss her dearly! She will be remembered fondly!

whos parents were jose Cuen & Juana Rosas. so many names not shown correctly ..I am related to the Cuen surname form Sonora Mexico.
