John Pierre DUPONT

DUPONT, John Pierre age 53, passed away Friday August 4, 2017. John is survived by his three children, Valerie DuPont, Jonathan Higgins and Dominic DuPont all of Tucson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin P. and Evelina S. DuPont. John was a graduate of Tucson High School in 1982. He was employed by American Airlines at the age of 31; little did he know that it would blossom into a career filled with lifelong friends and adventure. In 2012, he was relocated to Texas with his fellow co-workers. It wasn't long before everyone knew his name within the company and his American Airlines family grew immensely. John was a unique and carefree spirit. At the age of 50 he was blessed with a beautiful baby boy. Some may see raising a child at that age as a struggle, but John embraced fatherhood with open arms. John was truly an amazing father, brother, and friend. He was adored by all. Those who knew him would say he always liked to look his best and loved to be surrounded by family and friends. In his presence, you could expect to be delighted with his laughter and charming charisma. There was never a dull moment in his life. In his younger years he was referred to as "Jaws" because of his ability to smell food a mile away and he ate everything in sight. Singing in the mirror with a hairbrush and the inability to swallow pills, unless crushed in applesauce, are just some of the many memories of him as a child we will never forget. His outgoing personality and demeanor transformed acquaintances into lifelong friends. He will be missed but never forgotten in our hearts. Visitation will be held at 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel), 204 S. Stone Avenue, with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N.
