Joseph Skinner Obituary

Joseph A. Skinner January 11, 1947 - November 28, 2005 Joe, a longtime resident of Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 28th. He is survived by his younger brother, Newman "Skip"; daughter, Melissa; son, Shane; and grandchildren, Steven, Brandon, Bryan, Kelsea, Ksara, Taegan, Bayden, Nathan, Mariah, Cameron and Matthew; and many lifelong friends that will love and miss him always. Joe loved family, friend and foe--rode out the lows and highs of life with an unwavering sense of humor--possessed a vitality for life that ranged from the enjoyment and wonder of a full moon to junk yards-achieved his entrepreneurship by seeking and closing the consummate great deal-possessed a smile and raised eyebrows that always left a person wondering-loved, enjoyed and appreciated God's gift of nature-found tremendous pleasure in the not-so-serious side of life-gave generously and joyously to those who had nothing to give in return-The memories, and stories they bring to mind, leave us knowing he was one of a kind. Memorial services held at Calvary Chapel, 5170 S. Julian Dr., Tucson on Saturday, December 17th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association.

I know it's been several months since our friend Joe walked thru the light and touched the hand of God, Joe was a good friend, and a former school mate. I last saw him several years ago, and am saddened by the news of his passing. Joe, you will be missed and I will think of you often and thank God in my prayers that he put you into my life and helped me to defeat my drinking problem. You were a kind and giving person, your family can be proud to have had you in there lives. Love Ya Brother of Life.

Joe was my father in law, and grandfather to my children, Nathan and Mariah. I am very sad that they will not have him in their life as they grow. He was always good to me and we never lost respect for eachother. He was a very intelligent, caring, and generous man, and I am glad that he will live on through my children.

I was so saddened to hear of Joe's sudden passing. The world will be a little dimmer without his bright light. Joe grabbed life with both hands and and rode it hard and I think all who knew could imagine him saying,"WHoa Hoo What A Ride!" May you be making a Big Deal in your next life Joe.

Fondly,

Mary Bean

Joe will be missed by many who loved him. I, who loved him will miss him always. He was a very special and uplifting person. No matter what came his way he always remained positive and happy.

To his two wonderful children Melissa and Shane may you find peace and know your father a great, kind-hearted man who accomplished alot. He loved you very much.

From my five brothers and my two sisters they send their regrets as they thought the world of Joe and enjoyed the many Christmas's, etc we all shared together. My son Todd is very saddened by his death. We will all miss him.

Joe was a very kind and wonderful man. Our family thought very highly of him. We had many good times with him when he would come to Salt Lake especially at Christmas time. There are alot of memories of some fun camping trips also. He liked to tease alot! But always in good fun. He was a generous man and very thoughtful to our parents who have also passed away in recent years. He was in Salt Lake just a few months ago and it was sure good to see him again. He will be missed.
