I was thinking about Kevin today because I had a dream about him last night. It has been a while now and I still think about him all the time as I'm sure everyone else does. His memory has not faded and I miss him as much as ever. He coached me a couple of years through both Zona and Salpointe and I can truthfully say that he was the reason I continued playing. He really believed in me and he had this passion for the game that I really admired. His cheers were always so loud and funny and I thought he was the coolest guy ever. He was the coolest guy ever. He always told the funniest stories and I still laugh about them when I think of him. I wish I could give him a giant hug and let him know how much everyone misses him. I was unable to attend his funeral because I was at a tournament at the time and I never got to say how sorry I am to his family. My prayers were with you then, and they still are today. <3

Dear Dr. Wright, and family;
The news of your loss came to me today. I can,t express my sadness, for you all. You have taken care of me and my family,4 generations, for going on thirty years. You have always been so kind and understanding and helpful, to get me and mine thru difficult times. Including the recent death of my 5 year old grandaughter.
I can only pray for the pain , you are feeling, is eased,knowing the comfort you have brought to so many people, and how loved and respected your son was, just by the reaction of the community, of his loss. The mention of his coaching and smile, as well, May that bring some comfort. Without knowing him, but knowing of him, and his contributions to the youth in the community, You and your wife raised a fine young man and I can imagine the loss so many people will feel, with you. People talked about the twinkle in his eye, I know where he got that twinkle, you as his father have had a twinkle in your eye as long as Ive known you. Please don,t lose it and Kevin will live on thru the twinkle in your eye. He will watch over you all, always.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God Bless you all.

I want to extend my thoughts and prayers to the Wright family. Kevin was a great friend and he will be missed by the world. He was one who always took the time to ensure others felt included. My memories of Kevin include the following: building Lego’s on the family room floor, learning to throw the discus together in grade school, and riding in the back of the Wright’s family van on the way to Salpointe Friday night football games. Kevin, give God a high five for me.

Wright family,
I really don't think I can express the pain I felt in hearing of Kevins' passing. Kevin and I managed to get ourselves in all manner of situations both at the Wright house(many drywall patches in walls) and beyond. Kevin was a great friend and always had time for anyone. His patience was one of his greatest virtues along with that grin he would flash. I remember St. Joes and if one of us was in some sort of trouble the other was sure to be part of it. Hitting golf balls at the unfinished houses behind the Wright house, they made a heck of a noise when they would hit the garage doors. He was a great coach but, people need to know that he was a hell of an athlete in his own right. I hope Kelly and Kristin remember how great of a big brother he was; how much fun he made things and how much he cared. I'll always remeber Kevin, he was a great friend.

To the Wrights,
My mom phoned a couple of days ago to tell me about Kevin. I know that nothing I can say will make you feel better during this tragic loss of your son. I remember when Kevin would come over to our house and hang out with Frankie and I always enjoyed his company. Kevin was a great person and he will be missed. I will pray for your family; that GOD will give you the strength to get through this. Once again, Dez and I are very sorry.

Dear friends and family, I had the blessing of having Kevin in my life for 27 years. We all know that when you love someone there are never enough hours in a day, or days in a year, or years in a lifetime to spend with that person. Although this is especially true with Kevin, in those few years that he was with us, he touched so many people's lives. I could not have wished or asked for a better big brother. On behalf of the Wright family many sincere thanks to everyone that has shared your memories, thoughts, and prayers through this guest book, and all other means. There is nothing more meaningful than to read first hand the stories from all the lives that my brother has in someway affected. I cannot stress the gratefulness I feel when I think of all of you that have also made those years of my brother's life great for him. Thank you for that. It is because of the loving friends and family that he had that great smile and that twinkle in his eye. He loved you all. Again, thank you for being a part of his life, and letting him be a part of yours.

Kevin was my daughter's Zona coach. He nurtured her as an athlete and as a person. I know that Kevin was able to do this for many others and that he will live on in many bright and beautiful women who were fortunate to have had his influence upon their lives. Some of these girls were at the volleyball festival and were unable to attend Kevin's funeral, but know that they had him there with them as they shared with each other details about how special he was and the impact that he had upon them. This must have been true for others, Club Cactus girls possibly, as our girls saw remembrance comments celebrating Kevin's life on reffing tables at the convention center. We send our love and prayers for your family's loss. I hope you find some comfort in knowing that Kevin touched so many in his life. Peace be with you and with Kevin.

Dear Wright Family,
Kevin was my Zona volleyball coach last year. He taught me a lot of things not only about volleyball but about many other things. He made me captain of the team, and he gave me so much confidence from doing that. After that year, I didn't want to leave volleyball. He really made me love the game. Hearing the sad news was rough and I am really sorry for your loss. He was an amazing coach and a really incredibly nice person. I am really sorry this happened. Everybody who knew him is lucky.

Kevin was the most fun, inspirational and approachable coach my daughter has ever had. He had the gift of creating the feeling in many athletes that each was special and unique in his eyes, even for years after the formal coaching relationship had ended.
