Lance, we were friends in high school, met back up in mortgage and you always always had a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, offered assistance when i was slow on work, bought my 9 year old his crib as a gift from the title co... You were amazing, your face lit up when you spoke of your family, Your wife and sons were your light. I miss you. I pray that your family is comforted in the knowledge that your kind soul is in a better place and that you are there awaiting them. Love you Kimberley, christian and Brodey

Dear Lance-
So it has been 1 year since you left. Like so many other situations in life, it feels like an eternity, yet feels like it just happened yesterday at the same time. I went with Michelle and the boys (including Jesse) to your grave a couple of days ago to watch as your grave marker was placed. As I was observing the hills surrounding the cemetery with the red dirt and green trees, I couldn't stop thinking that this is the perfect place for you.
There is so much I would love to tell you about how our lives have changed this past year, but so much more, I would love to be able to hear about what you have been doing in your new adventure.
I am looking forward to being able to honor your memory with laughter and joy instead of being overshadowed by the grief and pain at the absence of your presence.....
Lance, you truly were a rare individual; your compassion for those of us that were fortunate enough to have known you is what I rely on for comfort. You are truly missed.

You were not only an amazing man but you were an amazing father, husband and friend and you are truly missed. You would be so proud of Michelle and the Boys, they are making you proud! What you gave your family while you were here has given them the strength to continue on without you. We know your spirit is always with us but you are deeply missed!

March 22, 2012 we will be in Bisbee to honor you babe. After much struggle, I found a fitting memorial marker. I remember how you used to drag me out of the house to see the sunset, and the moon rise. And sometimes in the middle of the night to go watch a meteor shower. 18 years and you were still a romantic. JT and Darrin are awesome boys. JT has your outer crust and inner mush. Darrin has all your charm. They are both so smart and witty they have me laughing all the time. I am honored that you chose me. I am a better, stronger person because of you. You will always be in my heart.

FINALLY. The marker is done in time for the one year mark of Lance's passing.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Lance's passing. He was a true angel on earth. A very caring person, I remember once when my car was in the shop he lent me one of his. The thing I will remember most was his love for his family. I too lost my husband three years ago so I do understand your pain. Just believe Lance is watching over you Michelle JT and Darrin. May the strength of Jesus guide you through. All my love...

I am so saddened by this! My family did not see this until now or we would have been there! He helped us so much when my dad passed away. He knew my dad Tom Pratt and worked with my mom(Lindy) at Ticor. When my dad passed he helped us so much, it was the first time I had met him but he was amazing! He came out of nowhere and picked us back up from the tragedy we were dealing with. He ran errands for us, picked up donations for us, he did a lot of good for us knowing we couldn't be bothered with it at the time. My mom and I are extremely saddened we did not see this in time to offer our support like he did for us. As my mom just said "He would have done anything for anyone!" Actually it was a bit funny, I always referred to him as "Good Lance" because we had a Lance we didn't care for around at the time too. I always said good Lance so everyone would know I was talking about him,not the other.
I am just so sorry for your loss. He was truly a good heart.

Michelle, I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I was fortunate enough to be with both of you at CSC in the days when you two met. You two were not only a couple meant to be together on earth, but for eternity too. I pray that thought can help you through this hard time. I'm sure that Lance is up there shooting down rubber bands of love to you, just as I remember him doing when he met you. All my love and prayers for you and your boys.

Michelle,
We were shocked to hear the news of Lance's sudden passing. We worked with Lance for many years. He was a very kind man with a good soul. He gave everyone in our office a crystal years ago and we all still have them on our desks. We will pray for you and the boy's and I know he will be watching out for you from above because that's the kind of man he is.

Lance and I have worked together and have been competitors off and on over the years. Either way I could always call him a true friend. We could talk about business, cars and family and he always offered his help and thoughts. We assume that we will be around forever and at times we could lose touch of each other for months. One thing I will remember Lance for is his being own to earth. I will miss you my friend. Michelle and kids I am sorry for your loss. If you ever need me I am there for you.

Michelle, I am so sorry for your loss. It saddens me to hear the news about Lance. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your 2 boys. I am very lucky to know Lance he was one of the nicest guys I know, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be missed very much. He will be watching over you and your boys thru these difficult times. I strongly suggest you looking into Tu Nidito a grieve support group for you and your boys. I lost my 18 month old son Giovanni to SUDEP (sudden unexplained death with epilepsy) on 10/09/10 and there are no words that anyone can give to you to help the pain stop, believe me I know. Today March 25th is my son's second birthday and I have been in tears all day. Get into the support group with your boys we have been there since November and its helps I promise. I'm here for you if you need anything you can reach me a [email protected] . Be strong for your boys this journey is not easy but you will have support all the way... God Bless you Michelle, Jaime Gusse
