Leni Morris of Tucson, AZ, died on April 19, 2009 after a brief illness. She would have been 96 years old in May. Born Helena Marie Feni-vesi in New York City, Leni graduated from Cooper Union in 1932. She became one of the most successful glove and accessory designers in North America. Leni and her husband, Walter Ripton Morris, lived in Englewood, NJ until they retired to Tucson in 1982. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and survived by her daughter, Jill Grassman, of Tucson; son and daughter-in law Peter and Jainel Morris of McLean, VA; and cousins, Agnes Biro Rothblatt and Heidi Bormann Gupta. Leni was a lover of life, people and art. She was, and will remain, an inspiration to those who knew her. She will be missed by many. A celebration of Leni's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. in the clubhouse at Santa Catalina Villas, 7500 N. Calle Sin Envidia, Tucson, in the Rancho Sin Vacas subdivision.
