Lois Maxine Holstad

1931 - 2025

Lois Maxine Holstad, 93, entered her heavenly home on 4/27/25. She was born on August 10, 1931 in Lake Mills, Iowa. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children: Mark (Cathy) of Albuquerque, NM; Beth (Chuck) Johnson of Marana, AZ; Daniel of Salt Lake City, Utah; Paul (Denise) of Long Beach, CA; Neil of Tucson, AZ; John (Christine) of Folsom, CA; and Julie (John) Steiner of Tucson, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Her sister-in-law: Helen Holstad of Northwood, IA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Arden Holstad; Her parents, Oliver and Pauline Sveen; sister: Muriel Buns; father and mother-in-law: Otto and Margaret Holstad; brother-in-laws: Robert Buns, Orin Holstad, Waldo Holstad, and Richard Holstad; sister-in-laws: Lavonne Holstad and Mary Lou Holstad; her niece, Susan Brooks. The family would like to give a special thank you to the many faithful friends, Pastor Parsons and Hospice in the Desert who provided tremendous support during Lois's lengthy illness. Memorial service will be on Saturday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 241 N. Harrison Road, Tucson, AZ 85748. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Hospice in the Desert.
