What a loss. I met Lori while walking my dog once. She extended her sympathy to me knowing that I had recently lost my husband. She asked me if we could do something like hiking. We met up twice for breakfast and lunch. We laughed and shared many things with each other. She was so wonderful to talk to. In the small amount of time I knew her, I so wished we would become even better friends. When she got sick, her sister told me about her illness and I just felt so bad...And just today I read she passed. What a wonderful lovely soul who left us too soon. Her memory to me will always be eternal. I miss you, Lori. May your family find comfort in knowing she was such a wonderful person, and I'm very glad she has so many family members to comfort each other. My deepest sympathy.

I truly appreciated getting to know Lori while we served together as DCT Leads at IBM. She was a wonderful colleague, and it was a privilege to know her. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

I know Lori shortly after she joined the DCT team at IBM System X and worked with her for about two years in my capacity as Technical Sales Engineer at Lenovo on a few projects. In that short time, Lori impressed me and others with her honesty, integrity, straight talk, quiet strength and dedication to her family. May God grant Lori peace and give patience and strength to the family.

The first time I met Lori was at Tawney's ceremony for being a finalist for Raytheon Leaders in Education. We got to spend the entire evening together laughing about stories of Tawney's childhood and talking about other things we had in common. We had a great time and I can relate with the wonderful testimonies from Lori's family and friends. Rest in peace, Lori. You will be missed and are with God now!

I first met Lori when she joined the DCT team at IBM under Matt Belanger (and we both stayed for three more managers since then.) I joined Matt´s department in 2015, and Lori joined not too long after that. We instantly connected as we realized how much we had in common. We shared a lot, both work and personal. I can´t count how many times Lori and I traded projects with each other at work. We would have work sessions to help sort out project issues together, but always at the end of the day because we knew that after work topics were exhausted, we would want to keep talking in what we called our "virtual happy hour." We talked about our families, our hopes and dreams, and our struggles. For years we talked about going on a spa vacation together so we could meet in person, but something always came up and we never did it. Lori considered me her mentor, but she helped me more than she ever realized. I will always remember Lori for the way she cared about people, especially her family whom she talked about so much I feel like I knew them all myself. Rest in peace, Lori, until our Heavenly Happy Hour when I can finally meet you face to face.

I miss you so much momma. I wish we had more time together, because my heart was not ready. Life has been so hard without you. I know it will get easier, but I wish you were still just a phone call away. I miss your smile, your laugh, your voice, I even miss your lectures. You should still be here. You should be playing with your wonderful grand babies. I am so mad that you were taken from us so young. You deserved more years, more sunrises, more vacations to the beach. I love you so much, so so so much.

Lori was a treasured friend as well as a colleague. She genuinely cared for others, for doing the right thing and was always willing to listen. She was a gift to us and all who worked with her. She will be missed and I hope that her family, especially Ella will be comforted during this time knowing that Lori made such a positive impact on us all.

Dear Lori's family - I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. I knew Lori only through her work capacity, but she was someone I knew over many years. As I listened to Lori about opportunities and roles to evolve her career, it was very clear to me how much she cherished and loved her family. She was also a loyal IBMer and worked hard to support her teammates, globally.

I wish you all great strength as you celebrate the life Lori lived and know that there were many people touched by having Lori in their life.

Lori was a great friend. When asked below how did I know Lori I guess technically it was because she was a coworker of mine at IBM of over 20 years, however we became fast friends essentially day one of meeting. It is sort of an interesting story in that actually starts with McDonalds. My first job at 16 was for the McDonalds in the Tucson Mall and eventually I was assigned to the McDonalds at the Cortaro/I-10 location as a manager at the prime age of 18. Lori would laugh and agree I have always been bossy (as was she :-) ) It is through McDonalds that I worked her sister Rachel and their nephew too. It is there too that I met Lori's older sister Tammy and worked for her at her store at Linda Vista and of course knew their father Glenn as the Owner and his lovely wife Marge. Long story short when I graduated with my undergrad I told Tammy I would be starting at IBM and she asked if she could share the IBM contact with her sister who was looking to stay in Tucson and in technology. I said sure and sent over my hiring managers info. Imagine my surprise when I started the new job and who was sitting in my new area but Lori :-) We had so much fun in those early days where I still remember the team feeling we developed, the many lunches together and even though she was always all about business she and I connected personally. Lori came to my wedding with her two girls Brooke and Tawney and even though I had not met them I felt like I knew them as Lori was always talking about her girls. When my own mother passed too young of cancer Lori was there to support me and hear me out. When she had Ella she was so very happy and I'll never forget that early morning call of the news of Ella's own journey and the follow on elation as she overcame over and over. Lori too was a fighter and a fierce advocate for those she loved. I can't believe I am even writing this as it was too soon... she had so much more to give and we could all have benefited by having her here with us. I know her family knows this but, she absolutely loved you all so very much. We were all blessed to have had the opportunity to know her. Rest in heaven my dear Lori.

Condolences to Lori´s children and family. Lori was one of a kind. I met Lori in 1999 at work, and we became fast friends. I will miss her smile, her laugh and her outlook on life. She was one of the strongest women I have ever had the pleasure to call a friend. Rest in peace Lori.
