Lorraine ROGERS Obituary

ROGERS, Lorraine G. 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at home in Tucson, AZ where she lived for 54 years. She was born in the Bronx, New York in 1924 and had to deal with asthma since childhood. She was told by her doctors in New York that she would probably not live past the age of 40 without a warm, dry climate, so she packed up the family and moved to Tucson. We guess she showed those doctors how wrong they could be! She was a kind soul who loved her family with all her heart and would do anything to help with any problems we had. She taught us to lead good lives and be kind and compassionate, and to never give up on anything or anyone.  She loved doing everything with her family from dinners at home to houseboat trips and made everything perfect. She and husband, Bud were fortunate enough to have had extensive travels all around the world.  She lived life to the fullest. Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, J. Bud Rogers and her daughter and casino buddy, Judy L. Rogers.  We find peace in knowing that the three of them are together again. She also follows the passing of two sisters and two brothers. Her surviving relatives are her three children, Randy Rogers (Virginia), Connie Pendleton, Vicki McCourt (Mike) and grandchildren, Kristine Leach (Jack), Kyle Pendleton, Jessica Durnil (Robert), Dylan Maynard, Ryan Maynard, Megan Nelson (Jeremy), great-grandchildren, Erik, Karl, Maxwell, Matisse, Sebastian, Alena and Hailey, along with two sisters and two brothers and her faithful and loving companion, MiMi. Services will be held at East Lawn Cemetery in Tucson on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Reception will follow. A special thanks to Harmony Hospice who were amazingly helpful to Mom, and the family following our great loss. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE HEATHER MORTUARY. Mom, Grandma, Grape Grandma, Bram Bram – we miss you, we love you.
