To the Gallego Family:

My family joins with me in extending our most sincere condolences on the passing of your dear mother Lupe. I think of all the wonderful times throughout the years that our familes shared so many special moments that are permanently etched in our hearts. Her special sense of humor made us all laugh, and always wanting to hear her many jokes. All of us will remember all the fun times we had when Lupe teamed up with our Mom Lupe and together with so many others made the annual La Placita Festival such a memorable event. Fun was combined with the hard work of food sales which went to raising scholarship funds for so many needy students. All of us will forever keep her legacy of sharing and caring alive, as we find ways to serve and love our neighbors.

While words alone can not adequately express our condolences in this your time of sorrow, we want you to know that all of your are in our thoughts and prayers.

Most respectfully....The Eckstrom Family.

To the Gallego family. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady that I had the pleasure of meeting during our tenor as Guadalupanas at the Capilla de Guadalupe. Now my mom and yours are planning all the fiestas in heaven as they did so well here on earth. May Sra. Gallego rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon her.

Frankie, Olivia, Alex and Fina: First of all our deepest sympathies are with you at this very difficult time. My Nina was a part of my life from the day that I was born, and I am proud to say that I have loved her and will always remember how her and my mom would sit with the choir at the Capilla and laugh, how she would call my mom "India" and would look at her with such love. My Nina and my Mom are together now in the Lords home where they can laugh together and sing Gods praises to him. You will always be in my heart and I will pray that God gives you the strength to get thru this. "One Day At A Time"

Lupe was mother to Olivia, Fina, Eduardo and Al, but she will always be "Mom" to me, too. As a young boy I remember her laughter, her gentle manner and affectionate embraces. She treated me as if I were her own and in a larger sense I was her son. Never was there a moment in the years that I have known this wonderful woman and matriarch, that our mutual love and respect had ever diminished despite the passage of time and distance. May God Bless Mom and may the almighty Spirit welcome her into His eternal light. With love and great sadness you will be missed by many.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Lupe G. Gallegos. Our family was very close to Lupe and she and my Mother were both La Capilla De Guadalupe parishoners.
