I was so sorry to hear about Marla's passing. She was such a fun and fiesty women who always had smile on her face and a great sense of humor. Marla was one of the first people I worked with at IBM and always supportive and willing to assist me with anything. She was always knowledgable and helpful. I will personally miss Marla and send my best wishes to her family and friends. I'm sorry I was not able to attend her services as I was traveling. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

What an awesome memorial service and celebration of Marla's time with us. It was quite easy to tell how Marla became so very special, as she was certainly gifted with a very special family. My thoughts and prayers remain with you all, and I hope you are able to continue to cherish all those special "marks" that only dear Marla could leave with us!

I attended programming school with Marla 21 years ago. She added so much fun to our class. We could always count on her for a good laugh when times were tough. Marla was always a lot of fun to be around and to work with. Marla was a wonderful friend and I know she will be deeply missed.

My deepest condolences to Marla's family. Marla was a great lady. I worked with Marla in the 80's in Tucson's I/S Ops. No one could tell a story like Marla. The funniest memory I have is Marla showing up to work one weekend, having dressed in the dark and showing up with two different boots! How in the world she didn't notice when she left the house since one was a small heeled, riding boot and the other a high heeled, shorter boot made us all laugh!

Marla and I worked together at the airport site in the early 80's, and stayed in touch since that time. She was a true friend, a true "cowgirl" and hunter. They don't make them like that anymore... or with the unique sense of humor she had. Always an optimist, always concerned about others.... always passionate about her animals. In the hands of God you are blessed and loved by all ......

Ms. Marla,
I will miss you, our conversations, and your presence. I know you can hear me because you told me that if this ever happened you'd be watching me. I hurt for your family. How sad for a parent or a child to go through this; to not get to say good-bye one last time, ending with an "I love you". You imprinted on my outlook. You are permanently parked in my garage of memories. You touched many of us. Your spirit lives within all of us. Thank you. We love you, lady.

Marla was certainly 'one of a kind.' She was always VERY thoughtful and constantly asked about how our families were doing, especially if someone was ill or in need of prayer.
She made us laugh, and we made HER laugh as well. There was no doubt who her favorite political candidate was, and we joked about it every day!
We also enjoyed the wonderful farm-fresh eggs she brought in each week, and people would line up at the door when she arrived! We will all miss you Marla, but your legacy lives on! You had MANY friends!
We love you .. God Bless, and we will see you again some day!

I worked with Marla off and on for several years. Most recently we were working on a project together and I talked to her within a couple of hours of her death. She had been frustrated by the slowness of progress and I kept assuring her that we can only do what we can do. She was cheerful by the time we hung up as usual. She will be missed.

2 Cor. 5:6-8 "Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

I worked with Marla when I joined the PFE team a few years ago. Marla was a kindness person. She loved to make people laugh. Every time I went down to the IBM site in Tucson, she always asked about how my newborn boy doing (the boy is over two years old now) and we laughed together on the stories. I am so shocked and saddened by her passing. May you rest in peace Marla.

To the family and friends of Marla Kay.....Marla was my longtime friend from our days at Amphi High School in Tucson. The Singletons lived right across the street from my family who all wish to extend their sympathy. I was blessed by Marla's friendship , her sense of humor and kindness. Her mother told me this morning that Marla's ashes will be spread over the grave site of her beloved horse Diego who she lost only a couple of years ago. Diego had been her adored friend on four legs for decades. May you rest in peace Marla...you'll be in my heart forever. Love , Liz ( Bette ) Andersen Pinetop , Az.

We shared an office at work in the late 80's, I recall one morning when Marla was rooting through her purse, that a small black thing fell out. She explained to me "Dale, that's a blind fold for my chickens. I can't stand having them look up at me when I am preparing them for Dinner". We both laughed a lot at that one. I will miss you terribly, Marla. I never could talk you out of that 1950 Ford. :-) Rest in peace my friend.
