Hey Mafeo...
It's been so long since I wrote on here the last time. It will be 19 years this year since you left. I don't even know how that's possible since I swear we were both just at home with Mom and Dad, Felicity running all over the place.
You would be so proud of the woman she is today and her beautiful daughters. She's also my daughter's Nina. I'm pretty lucky to have such an amazing niece. She had a whole village to help raise her and she turned out to be the most compassionate, loving, hard working, and beautiful person I know. You are proud of her, I know you are.
I wish you could have met your granddaughters and your niece! The youngest granddaughter looks a lot like you, but they all have their own similarities to you.
When Mina was little, people who knew you used to call her little Matthew but she looks just like me. She ACTS just like you though!
I miss you, a lot.
I know you have to know about a lot of things that have happened that concern all of us. I really wish you were here. I have Mom who understands but it's a different bond as siblings. I just really miss you and a lot of nights (and days) I wish I could call you to help sort through it all. Tell everyone I miss them too. I could use a hug from Tio Fernie, Tata, Nana, Grandpa... so many people. Especially you. I love you Mafeo. Always.

Hi Dad,
Been awhile. I just wanted to let you know that I´m doing good. I bought a house last year and shortly after had your beautiful granddaughter. Her name is Ellie and boy am I in for some fun. Lol. I wish you were here to meet her. Mom is still trying to figure out what you would want to be called and let me just say I think my favorite one so far is grandpappy. it makes me laugh. It has definitely been one of the roughest years I´ve had i think. Papas cancer got worse, covid really hit, and then papa passed away. Like I said...rough. Let papa know that everything is going to be okay we will take care of grandma and that I love him and miss him and also that I wish he would have been able to meet his great granddaughter. I love you both. And miss you deeply. I attached a picture of Ellie. I love you.

Wow so hard to believe 10 years have come since you've left. Still think about you often. Reading through these posts that your daughter wrote and it is hard to believe how grown up she has become. I guess that means we are all getting old huh. Miss you! RIP Matt <3

I hope your excited about this day as I am as our daughter has started 10th grade today at an actual high school (as a posed to online) No it its not either one of our choices (desert view or SALPOINTE(rocks!!)) but it's a good school, I think you would be happy anyway. I wish you were here, physically, crying with me as I dropped her off at the bus stop. It's amazing to see her grow up; thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving this beautiful child to me.

Hi Daddy,
I miss you. Been 9 years can you believe it. All week I've been letting all the tears out so I wouldn't cry so much today, but that doesn't seem to have worked. I don't know what else to say..... I love you. I wish you were still here. I remember watching the videos you made when I was a baby and one specific video I remember. I laugh at it all the time. The video was of me in the kiddy pool, you were trying to get my attention by whistling at me. You know what I said after I heard you whistle? Well of course you know but I'm gping to tell you anyway. I said and I quote "Really Dad I'm not a dog." Not to mention when I fell over into the water your noises "Thunk." They made me laugh. Well daddy I hate to go but I still have school work to do. I'll write again when I can. I love you and I miss you. Goodnight dad.

Hi Daddy,
I'm not quite sure where I want to start. Oh how about here. I love you and I miss you. I heard that you told Nana happy birthday on her birthday. I wish you were still here. Total change of subject but can you believe that I'm almost 15 and a half. I have a few more months and I can get my permit. Although I gotta admit I'm a little scared to drive. Especially if mom is in the car. I don't want to get in a car accident and loose her too. I'm sure she will read this and talk to me but it's okay. I hope your day was good up there. Mine was a bit odd, wasn't really a normal day. I'll tell you about it when I see you. I saw your Forza Motorsport xbox game in bookmans today. I wish you had more games that I could of had. Another year has come and gone...... Hard to believe you left this earth 8 years ago! This is kinda funny but every time I watch the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" I think of you. Jason Segal reminds me of you. You resemble each other and the way he acts in the movie makes me think of how nice but silly and funny you were. Random though lol. I may just go home and watch it today.
I saw your parents last year. They look great! They still look the same as they did when we were younger. I have not had the chance to meet your cute little niece yet. My dad and Lori have a pic of her and she looks adorable. I am sure she is a lot older than the pic they have though. Miss you and hope you are looking down on all of us.

I miss you. I wish you were still here. Mom and I don't have long until we leave for Disneyland. I have to admit I am getting a little bit excited. Although I'm not really looking forward to the drive up to California. I love you with all my heart and soul. I really do want you back. We have a lot to catch up on. Speaking of which I'm not doing so well in school I'm behind in a few classes. I've been going to something called open lab for school it's like a time to get caught up in the classes you are behind in. I should get to bed I have to get up early and help grandma clean the house for the egg coloring (I almost forgot about Easter). I love you soooooo much. Hi Daddy,
I know its a little late but I was thinking of you. If I make a typo its because I cant see the keyboard I have tears in my eyes. I got a debit card. I am so happy. I got a better phone which isn't that great anymore cause I kinda dropped it. Hehe. It was an accident. I wish you were here for my birthday. Can you believe it I'm 14. Gosh I feel old. I miss you so much. Mina has a hard time pronouncing my name, but its ok its cute. Tia told me that she's going to preschool now which is good it gets her out of the house and allows her to play with friends. It also benefits Tia. She gets to get her school work done. The thing we need to work on with Mina is not repeating what everyone says. I'm doing online schooling now. I like it the only problem is trying to keep up with my work. I'm still trying to get used to it. I get to stay home most of the time now. I'm earning money now. Guess you could say I'm working. I clean my Great Grammies house and she pays me 20 dollars. Its fun cause it gets me out of the house. I spent the week last week at Nanas house. It was fun a couple hard times but its ok. They were happy tears. Speaking of which did you know that Grandma had a knee replacement. She should be home today actually. While she was in rehab I slept in our old room which is now grandmas. I kept thinking to myself how you fit your bed and things in there. I even got Tia thinking about it. Ha. Well I better get to bed I have to get up early tomorrow. Hi Daddy,
I MISS YOU!!!! Every now and then I cry but its only because I miss you. Sometimes I hear songs that remind you. I'm doing online school now, I was sort of having trouble at my other school. I'm kind of having trouble getting used to being home all the time. I have to adapt to my environment like animals (see what I did I did some science). HAHAHA, I'm funny. Anyway I better go I have to get up early in the morning I have to finish an essay on the happiest time of my life. Its so hard I keep having to change details because it doesn't relate to the topic I'm doing the essay on, anyway I Love You and I Miss You sooooo much :*. I wish you were here you could help me on the essay. Ill tell you know HAPPY HALLOWEEN just in case I don't tell you on Halloween.

sorry i havent wrote to you in awhile i have just been busy with camping stuff and school stuff. I miss you sooooo much. I wish you were here so u can help me with your scrapbook. Do you know how much stuff u got in school ALOT. Well heres some good news i got NJHS njhs it standsfor national junior honor society. I had good grades and a good gpa thts how i got in. The bad part is having to do lots of community service. Oh well its worth it. I think it was a few weeks ago that i sayed a prayer for you. I hope you are having a good time up there. Have you heard the song "I Wont Give Up?" By Jason Mraz. I dont know how to spell his last name sorry. It made me cry alittle bit it made me think of you. For school i got 3 pairs of jeans. I wish i could get new shoes but i dont think i will. I got a sunburn on my forehead when i went camping more like my whole face but i started peeling my forehead and i looked like you "a dork" cause i had a big white spot in the middle of my forehead. But thankfully the color went back to its original color. I had fun on my break from school. The bad part was going from house to house to house. Did i tell u that i missed you?! Oh well im gunna tell you again I MISS YOU ALOT i wish you where here. Remember when you said you were gunna teach me how to play darts? Ya you never did but its ok because i beat tata at darts i got a bullseye haha tata beat that. HA. Mina acts like you sometimes. Your shirts almost fit me like my shirts which is AWSOME. But the bad thing is tht im running out of your colone how ever you spell it. But i better go tata is gunna be here soon he was in las vegas for work. Oh one more thing i love you sooooo much i cant wait to see you again and when i do i am gunna give you the biggest hug EVER!

Dear Daddy,
I miss you so much! I'm 12 years old now. Dah you already know that. HeHe. It's hard in sixth grade. I love my teachers! My math and science teacher is Mrs. Bingham. My language arts, social studies and writing teacher is Mrs. Zielinski. At first Mrs. Zielinski's name was hard to spell. Not to mention hard to pronounce. It's easy to spell now because her step-son made up a little song so he can remember how to spell it. Then the next day she told the whole class what that song was. It made it easier to spell. Mom says that my hand writing is getting much better. Sometimes it's still hard to read some of it when i'm in a hurry. I know I know totally off topic.I'm in band now. My instrument is diffferent this year. Last year as you already know I played the Alto Saxophone. It was hard playing that large thingy. Now I have an instrument that fits in my backpack. IT'S A FLUTE! It's just a little bit hard to play sometimes since my throat is a bit scratchy. I need cough drops but we dont have any. We only have halls but i dont like the way they taste. Got to go. I love and miss you with all my heart and soul.

Just had my first birthday without you here, I sure missed you telling me Happy Birthday and your card, I remember the cake Felicity and I made you, your last birhtday here, we made it from scratch and you loved it, it was chocolate with chocolate frosting. I think Felicity liked just as much as you did!!
