Michael Henry Borquez

1953 - 2025

Michael Henry Borquez, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Monroeville, PA on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Born on March 12, 1953, Michael graduated from Tucson High School and continued his education at Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ. On November 22, 1973, he married Elizabeth C. Leonard, also of Tucson. The couple made their home in Sierra Vista, where Michael dedicated over three decades to serving as a juvenile probation officer for Cochise County-a role in which he built a distinguished career marked by commitment and compassion.

Following his retirement from public service, Michael and Elizabeth relocated to Western Pennsylvania. Never one to remain idle, he continued working and was employed until recently by the Giant Eagle Supermarket Company.

Michael was the son of the late Henry and Alicia Borquez. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth; his brothers Paul (Lupita), John (Linda), and Louis (Deborah); his sister Monica Patania; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who were touched by his vibrant spirit.

Michael's warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he influenced through both his professional dedication and personal kindness.
