Michael Cecil "Mike" Lane

Michael "Mike" Cecil Lane 60, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2014. He was born February 13, 1953 in Alexander, LA., the son of the late Cecil and Yvonne Lane. He proudly graduated from Pima Community College with a certification in Airframe and Power Plant. He worked as an airplane mechanic. He had a larger than life personality and physique. He could light up a room with his charm, likeability and sense of humor. Mike was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved fishing, antiquing and sitting by a fire pit. Michael is survived by his two sisters, Sharon Gerlach (John) of Pearland, TX and Brenda Blackburn of Tucson, AZ., along with numerous loving lifelong friends and relatives. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at DESERT ROSE HEATHER, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd, Tucson, AZ. Interment will be at Butters Cemetery, Forrest Hill, LA. As Michael wished, he will be laid to rest next to his mother, Yvonne, in Forrest Hill, LA. The world lost a colorful soul.
