Dr. Michael Thomas Sita

Dr. Michael Thomas Sita peacefully passed away at his home in Tucson, Arizona on the evening of August 19, 2015. Michael Sita celebrated over 81 years of life. He is survived by loving wife Fay Sita, and his three children, Michael Sita (III), Gioia Sanderson and Matthew Sita; seven grandchildren, Miranda, Austin, Kyle, Avery, Lauren, Keith and Ryan. Michael Sita was a loving husband, father and grandparent who appreciated people, arts and music. He traveled extensively, relishing opportunities to discover architecture, engineering, history and the overall human experience. Army Captain Michael Sita served as an artillery officer in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He is a retired professor and founding father of Pima Community College, studied at Loyola and Stanford Universities earning his Educational Doctorate from Arizona State University. Michael will be remembered for his love of life and contagious laugh. Family and friends will miss him greatly, bid farewell and prayers in his transition to his afterlife. Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL 6910 East Broadway Blvd. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church 12102 West Moore Road, Marana, burial to follow at Marana Mortuary Cemetery 12146 West Barnett Road.
