Happy Mother's day,
I know your stressed
And time is pressed
But it will all turn out OK

Remember Me

To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace.
And to the faithful, I never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore,
Gazing at a beautiful sea - Remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest
And its grand majesty - Remember me.
As you look upon a flower and
Admire its simplicity - Remember me.
Remember me, in your heart,
your thoughts,
and your memories of thetimes we loved,
the times we cried,
the times we fought,
the times we laughed.
For if you always think of me,
I will never have gone.

I know you are sad
But it will be ok
I love you still
Happy Mother's Day!
- Noah, with help from Dad

I only knew Noah from camp. But I knew enough from those two months (one month per year) to know he was a good guy. His love of liturature was one of the things I remember most from camp. He will be missed, especially since he was 12. Rest in peace, Noah.

Dear Cohen Family,

I just learned of Noah's passing last night. I had the pleasure of helping coach Noah during his stint with the NYS Chargers football team. I fondly remember his broken arm that was padded and duct taped so that he could play during the games...Noah didn't want to miss a game. He would also bug us coaches to play "Sharks and Minnows" at the end of each practice. Above all I think Noah really enjoyed being "one of the guys". He will be missed. On behalf of my son Gabe (who played on the team) I offer our heartfelt condolences.

Cohen family, I am Todd and my son is Sam Nardi. I coached Noah in nys football. My son and I enjoyed Noah every time we spoke to him. We miss him and we felt deeply hurt when we heard(recently)of a wonderful life cut short. I have an nys player id of Noah from the 2009-2010 season. I would enjoy the opportunity to return this to your family. God bless you all and God bless Noah. I coach the wildcats for nys if you would like to contact me. Noah was,is, and will always be a small but special part of our lives. Love,Todd

Steve, Nancy, Rachel, Josh, and Joe,
What can you say about Noah? He was one of a kind!
I will never forget the day that Noah beat the #1 chess player at Catalina Foothills. Steve, you were running up the stairs from one end of the cafeteria to the other. I was so proud of Noah, but I was in awe more awe with you Steve for showing how excited you were about YOUR son's brilliant achievement.
And Nancy, you are mom extraordinaire without a doubt. That whole Harry Potter deal! How many times did Noah read that series (all in a days time!)?
Noah taught us all something. We were very impressed with Noah when he was saving his money so he could buy more fishing tackle. And he was always whoopin' up fun and laughter. Like when he and Cameron were tipping the jumping castle over at a birthday event!
Noah has touched us all and we will never forget him.
G_d rest his soul and thank you for giving his family 12, almost 13 years of his very special light.

Your friends always,
The Modisetts, David, Susan, Cameron, Ansel and Emily

Dear Dr. Cohen and family, I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. Truly nothing you should have to endure at such a young age nor any age. Although I didn't know Noah, it sounds as though he was someone to have multitudes of fantastic memories. I hope they will comfort you in the future. Many people like me (your patients) are praying and wishing you all the solice in such a trying and most difficult time. I am again very sorry for your tremendous loss.

Dear Dr. Cohen and Family-

We never got to meet Noah but based on the comments/condolences of others, he was obviously an extraordinary young
man who touched the lives of so many people. He lives on in the hearts and minds of all those lucky enough to have crossed paths with him.

With deepest sympathy,

Dear Cohen Family,

My heart has been aching ever since I heard the news of Noah's passing. Although we no longer live in Tucson, we will always feel a special bond with the Tucson community. When the kids were younger, we used to see you coming and going from the JCC pre-school Nancy, and I was always amazed and impressed with the way you calmly managed a large family. I am so very sad that your family is now smaller. I feel deep pain and sorrow for you and the loss you will know forever. I know you will always cherish your memories of your first born son. I hope the memories will hold an eternal light in your hearts.

When Noah and I met at school when we were just little kids, our friendship began. At THA, we talked a lot with each other. Even as a six year old, I could sense what a great person he was and how enjoyable it was to talk with him. When we went to Sunrise Drive Elementary School, we were still friends even though we were in a school of a greater amount of students and there were more people to meet. When we went to Orange Grove Middle School, we still managed to fit in quality time as friends. He was still the person he was when we were first graders: kind, smart, and funny. On the school bus, which we both rode together, we have had little chats about different things, whether it was school-related or just a random conversation. When we didn't, I always saw him reading a book or making jokes that I always seemed to laugh at. I am saddened by his passing, which I know we all are, but I still feel his presence while I am at school or on the school bus. He had a kind, extremely good-hearted personality that I will always remember. I am so sorry about the loss of Noah. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cohen family. I will always remember Noah - my friend.

Dear Cohen family. My son Michael Earls had Noah in two classes this year. He said Noah always had a book in his hand and was the funniest, smartest kid he knew. Michael said not many "got" his sense of humor, but he did. A good thing that Noah left behind for Michael is a deeper interest in Judaic studies. Michael wants to read the Torah and also wants Bartlet's book of quotes. Noah made my son proud to be Jewish. April Black.

The empty seat, the quiet classroom, the extra 10 minutes at the end of class when the teacher would normally be answering your openended questions, your smile, your glowing eyes, your desire to learn, and to teach, your laugh, your jokes, your pranks, your desire to reach out and touch the life's of others (and indeed you did, very well) Noah Warren Cohen, I wish I could say goodbye. I will always remember with a smile the way that Noah searched for answers to questions in science class that were not usually what I was looking for but still quite correct. It seemed to be his quest. I learned a lot by working with Noah because he had such an incredible wealth of background knowledge in so many areas. One thing I learned from him is just how hard it is to cut a block of styrofoam to make the shape of the ocean floor!
