Otilia R. "Tillie" CORTEZ

CORTEZ, Otilia R. "Tillie" Peacefully entered eternal life at the age of 90 on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 surrounded by her family. Otilia was born on August 30, 1927 to parents, Arturo W. Rivera and Refugio "Cuca" Rivera in Bisbee, Arizona. Her family moved from Bisbee to Superior, AZ and then to Visalia, CA where she met the love of her life, Frank L. Cortez. They married and then moved to Tucson, AZ in 1954, where together they raised five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Cortez, her parents, Arturo W. Rivera and Refugio "Cuca" Rivera and her siblings, Lupe Rivera and Julia Marquez. She is survived by her children, Gloria Cortez, Sandra Pesqueira, Frank Cortez Jr., Veronica Berrellez and Steve Cortez; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Angie Moreno; and 13 nieces and nephews. Mom, we will miss your great smile, laughter and your loving personality. Love you always until we meet again. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, SOUTH CHAPEL, 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N.
