Patricia Bouzas Obituary

On February 24, 2025 Patricia Sylvia Bouzas made the journey to Heaven. Born on January 25, 1938 to parents Alfonso and Mariana B. Ruiz, Patsy grew up in Tucson and was a proud graduate of Tucson High School. She was also a charter member of Club Gema, a young Mexican-American women's social club, that participated in many of Tucson's social events throughout the city. She was wife to Jose Luis Bouzas (deceased), mother to 4 children-Fabian (deceased), Adrian, wife Audrey; Miriam (deceased); Lilian, husband Alex. Tia Nina to Andrina (girlfriend Krystal) and Enedina (husband Jason). Nani to Thomas, Jonathan, Roman, and Mariana. Tia Nani to Adriel and Isla. Sister to Tony (deceased) wife, Julie; and Olivia husband Ron. Tia to Yvonne, Christopher (wife Helen), Carlos Antonio Bouzas Delie (deceased) Jose Fernando Bouzas Delie, Nelson Bouzas Delie, Oliver Bouzas Delie, Brenda Catalina Benavides Bouzas, Erving Villamil Bouzas, David Villamil Bouzas, Aurora Villamil Bouzas and Yuri Vilamil Bouzas. Patsy never wanted to be like everyone else and she wasn't, she was one of kind. Her wit, style and strength were unmatched. She carried that with her all her life. Jose Luis was the love of her life; they were married 55 years and loved each other with a passion that was unrivaled. They both valued family and worked together to create a loving steady home for their children. When Patsy loved you, she loved you with all she had, she was a wonderful mother, making sure her children knew how to stand up for themselves and when big changes came in their lives, she always knew what to say to make them feel better. She also had a great sense of humor, her children loved to see what silly things she would be willing to do, laughing when she did but she would follow up with a witty response, so she had the last laugh. She was the life of the party, usually dressed in something that sparkled, loved singing with her brother, dancing with her sister all while sipping on tequila. As the years passed, she was blessed with beautiful grandchildren, that gave her even more joy then thought possible. She also endured great loss in her life, including her memory but as she always did, she handled it with great strength and wit. In her last few weeks, they didn't think she would survive the move from her care facility to her home, but she did and then when they said she wasn't going to last much longer after coming home, she lasted over a week. Patsy was a force to be reckoned with and all of us that loved her knew she was going to leave on her own timeline and when she was ready. We love you, we will miss you, but we know that you are with us always and if we listen for you, we know we will hear you saying, "Love you Lota". Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 2:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Saturday, March 8, 2025, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 215 S. Craycroft. She was one of a kind! We lived next door to her mama, and she was there quite often. She was funny, witty and had no trouble poking fun at you if she saw a reason I will never forget her, or any of her family that has gone to heaven. Know that I will chuckle to myself when I think of her. She's with Joe and her children and others, and she is truly free from her earthly pains.
I would have responded sooner, but I did not know till today.
God bless you all.
