It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother and treasured (Nana), Patsy Louise (Abernathy) Davis, 77, of Sautee Nacoochee on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025.
The family received friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Celebration of life was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel.
Patsy was born July 4, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Ford Abernathy and Dorothy "Dot" (Wilson) Abernathy. She was also preceded in death by her son, Matthew Winkler and brother, Bradley Abernathy.
Patsy's selfless love and caring spirit touched the lives of many. She excelled in and enjoyed her career selling real estate in the Gainesville and White County areas forming life-long friendships with her clients. In addition to her real estate career, she was proud to have been a part of the Skylake Community since its inception and has lived there with her family for many years. Yet her greatest passion and most rewarding time in life was making memories with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Whether it was riding motorcycles on the Blue Ridge Parkway, camping at Moccasin Creek, snow-skiing in Colorado or making sandcastles on the beach. We will forever treasure these special memories.
Patsy's heart of gold and willingness to help others was evident throughout her life. She leaves a huge legacy behind and a void that can never be filled.
She leaves behind her husband, Jay Davis; children, Kristy Winkler, Jenny (David) Lundy, Heather Davis, and Jayden Davis; grandchildren, Kayla (Mason) Ellis, Carson (Janessa) Canada, Baylee and Kendall Roberts; dear sister, Sandra Cain; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation to an educational fund for Jayden , please donate at United Community Bank to Jayden Davis.
