Raquel Armenta-DeLaOssa Obituary

Armenta-DeLaOssa, Raquel, (35) our beloved mother, daughter, and sister passed away suddenly Saturday December 23, 2006 after a short illness. Raquel, a lifelong Tucson resident, was born on September 29, 1971. She attended Rincon High School, graduated from Pueblo High School in 1989, attended Pima community College and was currently enrolled in Apollo College. Raquel is survived by her three children, Santos Ricardo, Mariah Jacinda and Rene Ranulfo Armenta; parents, Ricardo Felix and Margarita DeLaOssa; sisters, Cristina DeLaOssa, Melissa D. (Eddie) Emerine; niece Lauren Elise Emerine, nephew, Eduardo Flores; and grandmother, Nana Dolores Garcia Martinez. In addition, she is survived by a very large and extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Raquel will be remembered and missed for her passionate personality, fierce loyalty, independent nature, and love for her children and family. Raquel approached life and everything in life in the same manner, she never did anything halfway. Everyone who knew Raquel cannot help but smile when they remember her quick wit, feisty personality, big smile and loud laugh. Raquel was renowned for her fierce personality and loyalty. We loved her deeply and she will be missed beyond words. A memorial mass will be celebrated in honor of Raquel's life on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Joseph's Church, 215 S. Craycroft Road. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.
