After college, Dick located in Chicago, where he was in the advertising and television business. He later returned to Milwaukee as the general sales manager of WISN-TV, the local CBS affiliate. In 1972 the family moved to Tucson, where Dick enjoyed a distinguished career as a commercial real estate broker with Cummings Realty and 20 years with Tucson Realty & Trust until his retirement in 2007. He was a longstanding member of the Tucson Association of Realtors, where he served on the Grievance and Ethics Committees. While chairman of the Board of the Tucson Opera Company, he spearheaded a merger of a Phoenix group with the Tucson company to create the Arizona Opera Company. His interests included skiing and sailing. He was also a determined golfer and a loyal fan of the Wildcats, Milwaukee Brewers and each pro football team his son has coached. His greatest joy was his family and the many accomplishments of his grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010. To the entire Foerster family: I wish so much to be there on Saturday but I cannot attend. Mom Girl, Carla Girl, Chris Boy you took me in as one of your own and I'm a better person because of it. Dad Boy was a precious person who taught me many things. Some of my fondess memories of my entire life involve all of you and Dad Boy. I will cherish those memories forever and I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to be a part of your family. Dad Boy I love you with all my heart and I will miss you a great deal.
