Robert L. HARRIS

HARRIS, Robert L. age 70, passed away at his home in Peoria on Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was born on December 31, 1946 in East St. Louis, Ilinions to Warren W. and Doris (Steiner) Harris. He was raised in Tucson, Arizona by his mother and step-father, Robert J. Galbreath. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona and was an avid Wildcat basketball and football fan. He worked for over 30 years in the paper industry, retiring from Unisource Worldwide. He was co-owner of the Grand Pet Hotel and Grand Grooming in Surprise, AZ. He married Alice J. Peck and had three sons, Robert, Scott and Mark. He later married Donna Harris with whom he co-owned the Grand Pet Hotel & Grand Grooming. Robert enjoyed an active life and his interests included skiing, scuba diving, fishing, Western history and art, traveling, dancing and cruising Route 66 with Patricia Thomas and spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Dana), Scott (Macarena) and Mark (Erin); seven grandchildren, Andy, Michaela, Sean, Isabella, Phoenix, Rhett, and Scottie; and his brother and sister in-law, Jack and Carol Galbreath. The Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Hansen Desert Hill Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road in Scottsdale. Arrangements by HANSEN MORTUARY.
