Attorney Bob Hirsch and others who practiced criminal defense law in Tucson during the 70s, 80s, and 90s worked tirelessly to defend their clients. That motivated standard of legal representation may not exist any longer but it was amazing to see.

My condolences to Bob´s family and loved ones. I am sorry for your immense loss. May his memory be a blessing.
I met Bob downtown almost 50 years ago. We weren´t super close, but always enjoyed catching up when we ran into each other around town over the years. I´ve never had anything to offer him except my opinionated rants or a sympathetic ear, but he was always generous and inclusive with his time (and his own opinions!)
I was privileged to sit in on a couple of his trials, spend more time in conversation or at lunch and attend events where our paths crossed. I came to realize how lucky I was to know him.
I last ran into him at the airport quite a few years ago. He made sure everyone within earshot knew how put out "we" were about having to stand there - the same old Bob. We solved life while standing in the lobby, then headed off in different directions with our respective traveling companions.
I´ll miss his booming voice, his brilliant wit and his genius courtroom presence. Most of all, I´ll miss the kind man who knew many famous and important people (and was one of them in his own right) but always had time for me anyway. He is a Tucson treasure, and I will think of him often - his memory is everywhere.
Thanks, Bob.

Bob you were loved and respected by all while on this earth.
Knew you many decades through mutual friends going to Mexico, skiing at Mt. Lemmon and working downtown dinners and lunches.
I shall miss your tremendous intelligence and wonderful laughter!
An amazing gentleman!
Soar in Heaven Bob!

My dear friend of more than 60 years, so sorry this world has lost your sparkling light. Condolences to your children--who you always loved so proudly and dearly, and to everyone else in your cherished family. Lisa and I will always keep your memory in our hearts and will remember your help and kindness forever. The spirit of the "Justice Fighter" will certainly live on in all those you mentored.
