Ruben Rangel

RANGEL, Ruben, passed away on January 26, 2009, at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his parents, Othon and Socorro Rangel. He is survived by his daughters, Leticia (Grant) Lovallo, Rebecca (Ben) Alev and Laura (Oscar) Chavez; and their mother, Maria Rangel; grandchildren, Kristina, Tyler and Brandon Alev, Jordyn and Taylor Lovallo and Zachary and Zianna Chavez; his brothers and sisters from El Paso, TX, Rosa Rangel, Eva (Jesus) Flores, Fernando (Joanne) Rangel and Othon Rangel, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born in El Paso, TX, where he began his business, Lone Star Contact Lens Lab, which he relocated to Tucson, AZ in 1963. Later in his life he worked and retired from Tucson Medical Center and we thank his many friends from TMC who visited in his final days. He loved the mountains and the simple pleasure of fishing in the beautiful outdoors. We will all miss him, yet rejoice in the knowledge that he is free of his disease and in the loving hands of the Lord. The family sends sincere thanks to Diane of Helping Hands and the staffs at Indian Ridge Place and Peppi's House Hospice for their loving care in his final days. Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd.
