1988 - 2014

Scott Owen Whitney 26, was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father and many loved ones on August 4, 2014 in Columbia, MO. He was born to John Michael Whitney and Sheila Mari (Packard) Whitney on March 12, 1988 in Tucson, AZ. His wife, Brittany Anne (Hutchison) Whitney and two sons, Caden Scott and Owen Michael, were the center of his life. Scott is remembered for his love of life, willingness to serve God and his Country and contagious laugh. He was known for his natural ability with animals, love of cars and the outdoors and artistic ability. Scott leaves behind his wife, Brittany; sons, Caden and Owen; parents, John and Sheila; brother, Derek (Felipa) Whitney; sisters, Tamara (Jared) Ray and Tara (Tim) Hammond; one niece and seven nephews, grandmother, Berta Whitney and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Scott was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, MO. We miss him dearly, but know that we will see him again. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the LDS Tucson North Stake Center; interment to follow at the East Lawn Cemetery. A family and friends gathering will precede the Funeral at 9:30 a.m., also at the LDS Stake Center. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel (742-7901).
