Sharon "Lynne" Ingalls

1941 - 2014

Sharon "Lynne" Ingalls was born in Los Angeles, California on November 22, 1941. In her early years, she lived in Worland, Wyoming. When she and her family relocated to California, she lived in Sun Valley (San Fernando Valley). Her son, Brian David Ingalls was born there. After marriage, she and her family moved to Issaquah, Washington. Her daughter, Beth (Newsome) Loheed was born in Seattle. The family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where Lynne attended Arizona State University and earned a degree in Public Administration. She worked for the City of Tucson in the Budget Department until she retired in 2001. After retiring, she continued lifelong education at UofA and other college programs. Lynne was a professional genealogist, and traced her paternal and fraternal family trees as far back as the fifteenth century. She travelled widely through Scotland and Wales, visiting towns where her ancestors lived. Her opus of detailed genealogical records are one of the legacies of her life. Lynne is survived by her loving family: son, Brian David Ingalls; daughter, Beth Newsome; brother, Jan (Freda) Kindy and family; brother, Kelly McArthur Ingalls and his partner, Peter Saenz; sister, Kristin Ingalls and family; grandchildren, Hillary and Amanda Ingalls and Scarlett and Dominik Loheed; nieces, LuLu Coffey and Erika Hilgaertner and family. There was one Lynne Ingalls, and she lives on in the hearts and minds of those who loved her and were blessed with having her as a true and honest friend. Lynne passed away of natural causes on October 9, 2014. Her Services were held at DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME in Tucson, Arizona on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Mayo Clinic or the National Democratic Committee.
