Thomas B. "Tom" Torgerson

Thomas "Tom" B. Torgerson 79, of Spicer, Minnesota, formerly of Tucson, died April 30, 2011 following an extended illness. Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2011, Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar, MN. Visitation 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011, PETERSON BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME (www.petersonbrothers.com) in Willmar, MN and hour prior to service at church. Memorials preferred to Vinje Lutheran Church, Willmar. Tom was active in breeding and showing purebred Arabian horses. He was an avid supporter and contributor to the Friends of Western Art and a charter board member of St. Gregory College Preparatory School in Tucson. Survived by five children: Lynn (Tom) Johnson of Spicer, MN, Tom Torgerson (Mari Beam) of Spicer, MN, Dan (Heather) Torgerson of Shorewood, MN, Dave (Sara) Torgerson of Plymouth, MN and Fatima Torgerson Urias of San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico and 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Torgerson.
