Totten Warfield Obituary

Warfield, Jr., Totten (TK)

3/1/1949 - 3/16/2022

Dr. Totten (TK) Warfield, Jr., amazing son, husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, friend, and veterinarian passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is finally free from the devastating disease of Lewy Body Dementia and free to join his heavenly family.

To say he was a force of nature is an understatement as he influenced the lives of more people than will ever be known. His passion and dedication for veterinary medicine and helping all creatures great and small was known throughout the community.

Philanthropy, always wanting to give back, was another hallmark of TK's life, having served on many community boards.

His sense of adventure and passion for life left a lot of heads shaking, but also secretly wishing they could be like him.

Family was everything to TK. He attended as many sporting and scouting events, plays, and birthdays as possible. He is predeceased by his mother, Leila Warfield. He is survived by his father, Totten Warfield, Sr., his wife of 51 years, Donna, his children, Stacey, Tara (Derek), and Tyler (Jennifer), and eight grandchildren, as well as his brother Tom (Karen), his sister Susan (Neal), and his sister Pam (Jeff) and numerous nieces and nephews.

TK certainly left this world a better place than he found it.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in TK's memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association https://www.lbda.org

Arrangements by Adair Funeral Home- Dodge Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at Reid Park Zoo on April 22, 2022 at 5:00pm.

Think of TK often and remember all the great time and sad times. Always will be a part of my family as he was so much more than a Vet and friend. My best to Donna and family.

So many memories of TK thru the years. I was with TPD for many years. TK was an incredible resource both on and off duty. He once helped me relocate an Emu. We would laugh so hard sometimes and cry too. We was a presence, and will never be forgotten.

I just got a letter from a long time friend ,Greg H and he told me how wonderful TK´s celebration was last week. We wished we had been there but sadly a wildfire outside Prescott put our home in danger and we had to stay home just in case things got dangerous . I still send prayers to Donna and the family .

Having known TK for so many years personally and professionally, My wife and I both feel a very profound sense of loss. I am glad I attended the memorial service at the zoo. It was a perfect setting, excellent weather and strong gusts of wind, probably churned up by TK. He was a presence and force...the kind of guy that was so likeable and approachable. He was the professional and class clown. He was present with so many comings and goings of our furry friends. And he was an awesome resource in my work...I retired from TPD in 2010 after 25 yrs. During that time, I had to call TK for advise on animal issues...I do have a funny story about an abandoned Emu...and can share that another time if you like. I wasn't able to sign the guest book , nor did I have an opportunity to speak with family, although I very much enjoyed all of the heartfelt statements made. To see so many friends and family present, warmed my heart. I tend to avoid crowds at Events like this, because I am often overwhelmed by emotion. My wife and I did have the opportunity to walk around the peaceful grounds, and reflect on the moment. TK will always be with the many of us who will always carry him in our hearts and memories. My best to you and your family.
On a closing note, I think I went to high school with Susan and Pam...Rincon '71. Perhaps I am mistaken.

We were so sorry to hear of TK's passing. I was also a Scoutmaster in Boy Scout Troop 141. Had a lot of great adventures with TK and Tyler. TK (and Tyler)was that guy who always stepped up to help out and was excited about the next big adventure. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathies to the family.

My condolences to the Warfield family. I met TK over 30 years ago when he was recommended to me as a top orthopedic vet for my dog. I continued to take my other dogs to him throughout the years. He was one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. He took the time to make sure I understood the diagnosis and treatment plan for each of my pets. I picture many animals running to greet him on the Rainbow Bridge. My prayers are with you all.

TK was an extraordinary orthopedic surgeon for animals. He did knee replacements on my chihuahua and did a fantastic job. He was the very best in town, probably in the state in this area. He was kind and compassionate and just a great person. I want to express my sorrow for TK family's loss. He was quite a remarkable person.

I have very special, fond memories from knowing TK. He was a friend and wonderful vet for my pets. I spent many hours at Valley Animal Hospital over the years and very much enjoyed my friendship with this wonderful man. Since I no longer live in Tucson, I was not aware of his illness and it makes me sad to discover it as my sister is also fighting dementia. Horrible disease. TK will be very much missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him. My condolences to the family.

My sincerest condolences to the family. TK was an active adult member of Troop 141, and as a new Scoutmaster I greatly appreciated his support and enthusiasm working with the boys. He was truly a role model and all around great guy!

To TK's family our deepest condolences. We have known the Warfield family since TK was in Ted's math class at Rincon. We camped on the beach in Mexico when TK was 19 years old and our son Ryan was 19 months. Happy memories are vivid of those times with your family. TK will be missed most by you but also by the friends he made in his life's journey.

TK and my brother Neff were best friends through Rincon High 1964-1967. In fact, they were such good friends that Donna attended Senior Prom with Neff! The Warfield family introduced Neff and me to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico in 1964. I remember the two of them always being together, be it in Mexico fishing/Rincon football as managers/homecoming float building/Volkswagen to dune buggy modification, etc. I am so saddened by TK's passing; my brother Neff died two years ago. To Mr. Warfield, Donna, Pam, Susan, Tom, and all of the kids, my heart cries with all of yours. You will, like me, come to shed a tear down your cheek when memories occur; a tear because he is gone, meeting a smile because he was here and we were blessed to be a part of his life.

I have known TK and Donna since our years at Rincon High. He was a great high school friend . Even though I haven´t seen TK for about 40 years I still counted him as a friend . I just bet TK is tinkering with a VW in Heaven . Prayers for Donna and his family

Donna,

T.K. will be missed by so many of us. Had a wonderful life with an incredible family starting with you, your children, grand-children, his mom, dad, brother, sisters, Aunts. Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends. An amazing well-accomplished man with lots of love. I am so proud to have known T.K. My heart and love are with your entire family during your loss; but you know, he is now with his mom, Leila, watching over all of us. From the entire 1983-2019 Perimeter-El Tour Family, "May the winds be always at his back and may God hold T.K. in the palm of God´s hand until we meet again"
