William Doane Obituary
His love for his country led him to join the military in 1948, serve in the Korean War, and ultimately retired from the Air Force after serving 28 years. After retiring from the USAF, he used his communication skills and would spend the next 20 years working for Mountain Bell/AT&T.
Bill was a devoted husband and father to his family and was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved his Savior Jesus Christ.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Patsy, and their children, Theresa (Dan) Butcher, Mary Biondo, Bill Jr (Eileen), David (Becky), and Steven (April), and 26 grand/great-children.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 9th, 2025, 9 a.m. at the LDS Tucson East Stake Center, 6901 E Kenyon Dr. Internment will take place after the funeral service at the Marana Veterans Cemetery with full military honors at 12 p.m. A viewing will be held the evening prior at Brings Funeral Home, 6910 E Broadway Blvd from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

My husband and I love Bro Doane. As a youth, he often gave me the temple recommend interview as he was in the bishopric. He always reminded me what a blessing serving in the temple was to those who have been waiting for baptism on the other side of the veil. He always brought it back to Jesus and his love for the Savior was impactful for me as a teenager. Much love to his family.
