Janice Rayburn Obituary

RAYBURN, Janice "Jan," 74, of Tullahoma, passed away on Nov. 18, 2016, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. In her honor and memory, the Rayburn family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at the Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017, with a reception immediately following at 3 p.m. Jan, a native of Akron, Ohio, was the daughter of John (Jack) Wertzbaugher and Kathryn (Ringer) Wertzbaugher, who both preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 50-plus years, John A. Rayburn, of Tullahoma; three children, a daughter, Amy Rayburn Creasman, of Longwood, Florida; and two sons, Jonathan Alan Rayburn, of Tampa, Florida, and Todd Michael Rayburn, of Minneola, Florida; and eight grandchildren, Dalton, Devin, Dillon, Jade, Jeremy, Patrick, Tanner and Tucker. Jan had a varied and diverse professional career: Wife/mother (first & foremost), administrative assistant, Realtor, high school office attendance secretary, customer service representative, mortgage loan originator, U.S. Bank branch manager, First Vision bank courier and the ultimate volunteer "for the people." She was a "people first" person her entire life! Although Jan was a compassionate volunteer for many nonprofit organizations in the Manchester-Tullahoma-Winchester communities, her primary passion and efforts were devoted to the Tullahoma Downtown Lions Club and the Highland Rim Habitat for Humanity organizations. The Rayburn family requests any donations be made to www.pancreasfoundation.org to help fund research, support and education of pancreatitis. To all of Jan's family, friends and associates, The Rayburns give many thanks! God bless.
