I was one of the blessed students to attend Victory World Missions Training Center when it first started - the 1984 class. Changed my life and ministry. Billy Joe and Sharon were precious to us as we prepared for the Missions fields God would lead us into. I still tell of all that happened in those days as a testimony of God providing a foundation of faith and precious fellowship in preparation for His work.

Rev. Billy Joe Daugherty was my pastor when I attended Oral Roberts University from Sept 1984 to June 1987, and then until the following year after I graduated. I sang there at the church often, and was in the choir, too. He was such a tender and loving man, that when you spoke with him, you knew he was really with you for those few moments. He seemed to look inside your heart, as he spoke to you and as he listened. His soft and gentle spirit really touched me deeply. As a baby Christian, I was impressed and changed through his leadership and his example. I will always be grateful for his part of my life. He left us way too soon. Well done, good and faithful man of God.

My condolances to all. I am a 1990 graduate of Victory Bible Institute. I just recently heard Billye Brim say Billye Je had passed. He is greatly missed by all. ?What a mighty man of God.

I told my husband along time ago that I wanted to move from Michigan to Tulsa so we could go to Billy Joe and Sharon's VBI. Our heart is with the family even though we know Billy is fine we know there is a huge empty place in your heart right now. God Bless You.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Words alone cannot express how sorry we are to hear the shocking news about Billy Joe. Please accept our condolences. May you find peace with the passing of time. As we work through the tears, pain and grief of the sudden loss of a loved one, it is good to remember that there is much rejoicing and many happy reunions in heaven. Praying for great comfort, peace and healing for your family, friends and everyone who was fortunate enough to know Billy Joe.

We've listened to him for years on the Oasis network and visited almost every year at the Easter celebration It's alive. What a tremendous and sweet man of God is Billy Joe Daugherty. Numerous impacts on our lives from his teachings.

What an awesome man of God was our pastor. We'll continue on with all of Pastor Billy Joe's visions & ministry at Victory!
We're so thankful for Pastor Sharon, Iru, all of B. J's and Sharon's children that will continue his work also.

Dearest Sharon, Your lives have been a true testimony to the faithfulness of God. Billy Joe blessed me many times in the daily t.v. program over the years. I am most grateful to your prison ministry and for prison V.B.I. bible school that has blessed so many lives. Our precious Jesus will take you through this valley, give you courage to continue the ministry the two of you began together. You and Jesus are a majority and with the prayers of the lives you have touched lifting you and your family up at this time, You will be victorious. We are so sorry and beyond words to hear of the passing of our former pastor and friend.Our children all attended VCS and I graduated from VBI. I'm so sorry to hear that Pastor Billy Joe had to leave so soon. I attended Sheridan Christian Center back in 1980, and that's when I first met Pastor Billy Joe. He was a genuine man of God, and he touched so many lives. I know he touched mine, and I'm very thankful to him for that. May it be a great comfort to know that he's in the presence of Jesus, and he's waiting there for that grand reunion with all of his family, friends, and the many people whose lives were changed because of his ministry one day. May God Bless you and your family with supernatural peace and understanding. Heaven welcomed a warrior and we lost a loving example of Christ. I did'nt know Billy personally.I met him in my living room 13 yr's ago. During the darkest days of my life.Maybe his soft voice or maybe his gentle eyes. Truth is his voice was heard. He never knew me or my life' but my beautilful father did. I truly feel now Billy knows.Iam so sad for his family and friends. Such a great loss. Pastor Billy Joe will, truly, be missed. I have, always, had a deep respect for Pastor Billy and his wife Sharon. 'Tho I wasn't a member of their church, I sat in their services many times. In a time when the devil seemed to be bringing down ministers left and right, they kept their heads up and forged on, keeping their reputations in tact. I truly believe that we will be joining Billy Joe very soon. Our prayers are with Pastor Sharon and the family.
