I'm so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. He was always such an engaging and positive person.

I am truly saddened at the news of Carl's passing. I enjoyed getting to know Carl when he and the boys first started the Mid Life Crisis band. we have followed them from the beginning, and loved to go see the play. Carl had a way of making others feel welcome and happy. We went to see them play one night about five years ago. Our little black Schnauzer, Elvis, got the urge to bark while Carl was talking to the crowd. Carl was so very funny. He asked us "Can you please shut up that damn dog?" Everyone laughed. He was always friendly when we would see him out and about away from the band. God blessed the world with Carl Raynes. Rest in peace, and condolences to the family. He will be missed.

First time I ever saw Carl Raynes, I was 19 and he 20. Hee was . . of course . . singing. I was with Vicki and when he took a break, we were backstage and he swept her off her feet. I realized the privacy of the moment and I went out front. He was singing great, we had a killer night and Carl and Vicki were meant for each other. There's so much more to say. I have never had this feeling except about immediate blood family but I don't feel I will ever get over this. I felt he was gonna finish out this life with us. To Carl's family: the man who never missed a note. I love all y'all more than I can express. God surround you with a cloud of comfort. - Leta Rector
