David 'Dave' Edmund Kroll, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5th, at Clarehouse, in Tulsa Oklahoma. Dave was born on December 11th, 1937, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle, father and grandfather, and a loyal friend to many.
Dave earned a scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin and graduated with honors in both Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. It was in college that he met his wife, Marjorie, and they were married on June 18th, 1960. Both he and Marjorie wanted to see the world, so he took a job with Ingersol Rand. This launched a 40-year career with various engineering, sales, marketing and management positions and assignments in Milan, Italy; Tripoli, Libya; and London, England.
In 1975, they moved back to the United States to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Dave became President of Niject Services. Co. in 1983. They stayed to raise their family and joined All Souls Unitarian Church, where they met lifelong friends. The church was, and remains a beacon of love, light and inspiration. Dave gave back by serving in many leadership roles including president of the board of Trustees from 1986 to 1988.
He retired from his working career in 2001, but he continued to actively engage with life and focused on serving others. Dave obtained a certification in financial planning so he could assist people, without payment, to create a plan for a secure financial future. He was a generous supporter of the arts and many philanthropic organizations that shared his values. Dave also made time to pursue his passions, which included golf, fishing, and traveling the world. The family enjoyed many happy summers together in the lake home on Grand Lake where lasting memories were created. In July 2025, Dave and Marjorie celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary by treating their family to a Viking River Cruise down the Danube River.
Dave is survived by his wife Marjorie, his brother Greg, his daughters Cindy and Allison, son in-laws Eli and Steve, and his grandchildren: Laura, Sam, Eli, and David.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice.
Dave is remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, intelligence, leadership, integrity, curiosity, and generosity.
