Deborah Girkin passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Advena Care Home, dealing with extensive health conditions. This was her home for 3 years, after moving to Clearwater, KS from her long-time home in Broken Arrow, OK.

Debbie was born February 6, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Danilda Julia and Bruce Ambrose Watts. As she was the youngest, three siblings welcomed her into the family, Pamela Jane (Tillotson) Finn (deceased), James Bruce Watts (deceased), and Mary Ann Stafford of Clearwater.

Deb attended Clearwater schools until she married Ronald Charles Girkin on April 27, 1968. They began their married life in Tulsa, OK, later moving to Broken Arrow, OK, which became their permanent home. Three wonderful sons were born of this union, Christopher Ronald Girkin (deceased), Joshua Russell Girkin of Lawrence, KS, and Zachary Tyler Girkin of Tulsa, OK, and daughter, Heather Love Girkin (deceased).

After her first son, Chris, was born, she attended Tulsa Junior College (TJC). She graduated with a Registered Nursing degree and performed duties as the school nurse. Deb worked at Hillcrest Medical Center and St. Francis Hospitals until a severe on the job back injury ended her nursing career.

Deb's daughters-in-law, Jaquetta (Chris), Kristina (Josh), and Ashley (Zach) gave her great joy, along with Kristina's two children, Victoria and Sam.

Deb's Memorial Service will on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2 p.m., at Clearwater Church of Christ, 13900 Diagonal Rd., Clearwater, KS.
