Donna Wallace Obituary
Aug 13, 1930 - Aug 31, 2025
On the evening of August 30, 2025, mom passed away peacefully with us by her side. Mom was 95 years old and had a joyous family birthday party just a few weeks before joining her large family in Heaven.
Mom, grandma, great grandma was born in Slick, Okla. and graduated from Bristow High School. She met our dad in high school, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2015.
Mom excelled at her career as office manager for a local legal firm and then later as a self-employed document editor. She enjoyed her retirement years with summers spent at their cabin in Eagle Nest, N.M. Her other passions included knitting, reading, cooking, jigsaw puzzling and frequent text messages and visits with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the family historian having spent years summarizing the family tree.
Mom was preceded in death by our father, George Edmond her parents, Everett and Nellie Holden and our two brothers, Clark David and Stephen Kent. She is survived by us, her sons, Mike and Lance, and her sister, Marilyn Blackford. Mom was much loved and adored by us, her six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and daughter-in-law.
A family memorial luncheon was held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel followed by graveside services at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Bristow, Okla.

When I started at the law firm as a new litigator Donna was instrumental in helping me learn how a law firm functioned. She was kind, patient, encouraging and made me feel I could ask her any question. Donna even helped me wax my new desk for the first time, the very desk I am sitting at as I write this note. I miss her.

Donna was more than good friends, she be came the sister that I never had. We use to talk about how different our backgrounds were but we cared about each other in many ways. She taught me much about Oklahoma and was a wizard with knitting. We liked the same books, and enjoyed the same food.?when ever I needed help,she was always there. If I lost my phone, she would come down stairs and find it and we would have a good laugh. We checked in every morning for years just to say we were ok. I still find myself wanting to check in and I miss everything about her. I´m glad I was able to be with her on her recent but last Birthday. She was so happy about her sons making sure she had everything she needed and never complained. It was a privilege to be her friend.
