Ivy Mozingo

Ivy Gene Mozingo, age 83, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Ivy was born on Sunday, October 9, 1938, and graduated from Plumerville, Arkansas High School in 1956, he then went on to receive an associate degree in business from Rogers State College in Claremore. Ivy married Frances "Frankie" Marie Millner on November 23, 1963, in Russellville, Arkansas. He achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, where he served for 32 years. Ivy was also an auctioneer and member of the Silver Beavers with the Air National Guard. When Ivy wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, watching football (especially the Sooners), re-runs of Gunsmoke and woodworking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ivy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frankie; son, Gene and wife, Sarah; son, David; daughter, Marsha and husband, Alan Bruce; grandson, Dustin Mozingo; granddaughter, Cassie and husband, Cody Milliser; and great-grandson, Ayden Beasley-Mozingo.

Ivy was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Emilee; brothers, Elmer and Henry; and sister, Barbara.
