Johnnie Eugene Kordis
Johnnie Eugene Kordis, Tulsa, was born January 5, 1942. He joined his Heavenly Father, July 24, 2021 after a short bout with cancer, surrounded by his wife, Joy and 3 daughters, Michelle, Melanie, and Natalie. Johnnie served 4 years in the Navy from 1960-1964 on the USS Ranger, after which he began a career in the auto business that spanned over 45 years.
He was a member of The Church at Battlecreek in Broken Arrow where he served as a member of the baptism team and was always available to serve where needed. He was a gentle soul who was loved and admired by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Kordis; step father, Wilburn Schroeder; mother, Sylvia Schroeder; and daughter, Heather Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joy; and daughters, Michelle Kordis Hoang and husband, Young, Tulsa, OK, Melanie Kordis Thomas and husband, Matt, Durant, OK, and Natalie Moore Zacha and husband, Patrick, Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Devin Johnson and wife, Alexis, San Francisco, CA, Kendall Haynes and husband, Casey, Springfield, MO, Brett Shaw, Tulsa, OK, Katie Johnson, Springfield, MO, McKenna Pate, Durant, OK, Braden Rawding, Tulsa, OK, Breanna Rawding, Tulsa, OK and Jaylon Pate, Durant, OK; great-grandson, Clifford Haynes, Springfield, MO; and a brother, Tony Schroeder and wife, Deanna, Dewey, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnnie has donated his body to OSU Medical School for education and research. At a date yet to be determined there will be a celebration of life service.
