Judy Franks Doebler died peacefully surrounded by her children, from complications of RSV and Pneumonia. She died as elegantly as she lived.

 

Judy was born in Tulsa Oklahoma to parents, Ralph M Bryner and Hilda E Bryner. She attended the Tulsa Public Schools until graduating in 1949 from Will Rogers High School. She earned B.M.E. degree in Music Education from Tulsa University, followed by a M.ED in Elementary Early Childhood Education from University of Arkansas Little Rock.

 

Her professional life was long and accomplished and culminated in 19 years as Early Childhood Specialist for the State of Oklahoma. She was instrumental in advocating for Four-Year-Old programs in the Public Schools, Parents as Teachers and worked with universities to establish N2 and Pre-K 3 certification for Oklahoma. Upon retirement, she co -created an Investment club, played both Masters Bridge and Social Bridge, attended seasons of the Opera, and Philharmonic, joined Asbury Choir, taught parenting classes to female parolees, reunited with the "49ers", and created many new friendships at Garden Park.

 

Survivors include three children; Michele Franks Buxton of New York City, Terri Franks Bonner of Little Rock Arkansas and Charles Brent Franks of Dallas Texas. Four Grandchildren; Lauren, Marshall, Kelly Buxton and Ferrell Bonner.

 

In her final hour Judy was asked, "Where do you want to go?" she didn't hesitate as she gently placed her hand on her heart and answered, "I want to be in your hearts'.
