Justin S. Benner, son of Jodie and Dr. Ben Benner, was fighting COVID when he lost the struggle. He was a vivacious, young man. As a boy, his bright blue eyes, blonde hair and sparkling demeanor were captivating. Whether playing with his dog, playing football, horseback riding, rock climbing, snow skiing, camping or hunting, Justin loved being outdoors and being active.
Justin graduated Cascia Hall in the Class of 1996. He made great, enduring friendships there. After graduation he furthered his education in a variety of fields. He initially studied engineering and math, his strongest subjects. Then he opted for more hands-on interests, including welding, paramedic training and finally culinary school.
Justin had far-reaching interests, from linebacker to line chef. But, of all his pursuits, he loved cooking the most. He earned a Degree in Culinary Science from OSU. He was in his element in the kitchen. He loved expressing himself through cooking and loved feeding people his creations.
His optimism gave Justin the confidence to try his hand at anything that sparked his interest. That was fulfilling to him. He retained his youthful effervescence into adulthood, and his playful personality was wonderfully contagious.
Justin is survived by his parents, Jodie and Ben Benner, his sister, Christine Benner and brother-in-law, Daniel Worley. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Merle & Melanie Benner, and Joseph & Viola Tronson.
Memorial gifts in Justin's memory may be made to Cascia Hall Foundation.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 3 at The Church of St. Mary in Tulsa.

Heart wrenching. Remembering Justin as a young boy jumping horses. He was always so handsome, respectful and kind....and a lot of fun. Donating trees in his name to Up With Trees in Tulsa. So very sorry for your terrible lost. It makes my heart hurt. Best wishes to the whole family. Debra Hull
