Dear Husen family. I didn't know your beloved Stephanie but I am a member of the medical community (retired RN 49 years) and Catholic community. I watched her beautiful mass. I can't begin to know what you all are going through. It was so beautiful that the young people participated in her Mass. As I saw Dad carry her ashes in how strong you must be sir. We never think a tragedy of this sort will happen. Stephanie's service to humanity cut so short. As I've followed these heartbreaking situations I've wondered if I would be strong in faith to get through it. I pray for our God, our Saviour Jesus Christ will comfort you and your faith will get all of you through it. Stephanie through all I have read must have been such a wonderful, smart, loving, kind and generous human plus a physician. God Bless. I am praying for all of you.

I didn't know Dr Husen but reading about her I wished I had known her. I worked for Warren Orthopedics for many years, and it still feels like family, and she was a part of this family. RIP Dr. Husen

I had the great privilege of working with Dr. Husen at the University of Central Oklahoma Mercy Clinic. She was a delight to work with and always gave exemplary patient care. I had great admiration for her as a physician, but beyond that she was a friend to staff. She was kind and generous and I have some great memories of her. I am praying that her family will know what a shining light she was to those who knew her. I am praying for strength for you all. She will be greatly missed.

I wasn't a friend nor family. She was my doctor. She was so exceptionally warm and kind, and that's something I don't often get from doctors. She was exceptionally patient, kind, and warm. Dr. Husen was a shining light in my life and helped me get my life back, and I think she really understood the impact doctors have on people a lot more than most do. Hearing the news was beyond tragic, and I never realized just how much a good doctor could mean to someone like that.
My mom and I were so struck that we went out together to buy her a bouquet and a candle. The scent was banana nut bread- it was strong, but soft. It gently wafted all around me and was as light and airy as she. I give my deepest, most loving condolences to her friends, her children, her family. Above all else, I will remember her as one of the most kindhearted and gentle people I've ever met.

My heart is extremely heavy after hearing about Dr. Stephanie Husen's tragic death in the Tulsa shooting yesterday. I cut her hair for many years before she moved to Tulsa. She was a talented, and caring physician that always brought a smile to your face. She loved her family , friends , patients and especially her dogs fiercely. I'm praying for her family and friends. Fly with the angels!
