I knew Susie since 3rd grade at Western Oaks. She was always so encouraging to others. It is exciting to know that she was an advocate for veterans. That was so like her wanting to help others. May the peace of God be with you.

To my Aunt, Uncle, Jeff and Lisa words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. I have a lot of great memories of Susie. She gave me my first job when I was 17 at the litte restuarant she had in Geary. She was one of the best cooks and I have so many great memories of the Thanksgivings and other family gatherings we shared. Mostly I will miss her laughter and her big heart.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Susie. I was a classmate of Susies in 3rd grade at Western Oaks Elementary, many memories there with Susie.
Remember the laughter and the kindness she shared. Each time a gentle breeze touches your cheek or a butterfly passes by remember she is there. Enjoy those wings Susie, you earned them!

To the Sears and Robinson families, I grew up and new Susie since 1st grade up until I moved away after 8th grade. Back in elementary school, she and I hung out together during the summer either at the YMCA, or just running around the neighborhood. I took a dare in 2nd grade in Ms.House's class and let her teach me the swim, while sitting in our seats, which I must say I did rather well until Ms.House came back into class and caught me not to mention getting licks behind the coat rack wall. I've wondered often as to whatever happened to that wonderful friend. May God bless her as she walks with the other angels

My warmest regards and regrets to Susie's family as you all make your own ways through the rest of your journeys with out Susie. I'm sure it will be difficult waiting to rejoin her but you all will in due time.
I went to school with Susie all 12 years and easily remember her for the bright light and gallant force she truly was.
I'm sad she has lived such a short life but what a GO OF IT she made!
Susie will always be with us in our hearts and minds. I know she will be watching over all her loved ones as she always has.
Respectfully,
Chaun Ballard Hill (Phoenix, Arizona)

I had the good fortune to know Susie from Putnam City West. I was saddened to hear of her passing, but know that she is a better place and know that she is watching down on all of us and her fellow veterans. I would like to share this thought with the Sear's family and hope that it brings some comfort to them knowning that she will be deeply missed.
"When I must leave you For a little while--Please do not grieve, And shed wild tears; And hug your sorrow to you Through the years, But start out bravely, With a gallant smile; And for my sake And in my name, Live on and do All things the same, Feed not your loneliness On empty days, But fill each waking hour In useful ways, Reach out your hand In comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near; And never, never Be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the Sky!"
God's speed, Susie,

I am saddened to hear of Susie's death. I always wondered where she was and how she was doing. We were quite close for a time during high school. My condolences to the Sears family. I am glad to know she gave of herself to the veterans. That is impressive. Sherri (Wallace) McDermott

I knew Susie at both P.C.West & at Western Oaks but, sadly, never got to know her. However, a fond memory I'll always have is the time in our English class at Oaks when, during our lunch break, Susie let Frank Prince try on one of her contact lens as he was curious what it would feel like. While getting the lens in was easy, getting it out almost ended up with a trip to the school nurse. Moments before class was to resume Susie finally got Frank to stop his rapid fire blinking and relax enough in order get this unique little suction tool onto the contact and out of his eye. Thank your Susie... I will always chuckle over that memory. Your light will be missed by those who knew you better than I.
