Alpha Fisher Obituary
Blessed to call her “Mother” were three children, Troy Fisher (Margaret), Irma Tumlin (Jerry), and James Fisher (Faye). She has six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was a dedicated Christian and truly loved her Lord. She brought love, caring, and joy to all she met. She was known to most as “Maw Maw Alphie”. Her life was an example of how love can overcome all difficulties of life.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2010, beginning at 6 p.m. from New Canaan Holiness Church in Marion, AL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. from New Canaan Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Ivah Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all of those who prayed and supported them during her final days. We appreciate all the compassionate care she received from Hospice Complete, Dr. Brian Wilhete, and Dr. William Hill, of Tuscaloosa.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Jamie Fisher, Bobby Fisher, Ronnie Fisher, Eric Fisher, Robbie Fisher, and Phillip LaGrone.
